    Acacia Firenze

Diana's apartment is lovely, modern and is located in a relatively quiet, yet central part of town. Pretty much anything you may want to visit is within walking distance. It was also fully equipped with basic necessities - salt, oil, toilet paper, laundry detergent... not that we cooked, but if you do you'll have pretty much everything you need. It features two AC units, which was fantastic as the temperatures in Florence were up to 40C throughout our stay One word of caution: it's on the top floor, there is no lift and the stairwell is narrow and quite steep. Might be an issue if you are not in good shape, have a disability or come with heavy baggage.

The appartments is like the images; the young lady that meet us was very pleasant and friendly, going through everything before she left. It is positioned about 15mins, walking with a suitcase, from the station and the same from the centre of Florence. The information folder was excellent. The flat was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The flat is accessed via a very steep staircase which may for some be difficult with suitcases but not impossible. I felt super fit going up these stairs a couple of times a day. @homeaway

Truly enjoyed our stay in Firenze. Francesca was very helpful and flexible regarding our check in time ( our train naturally, was running late) The apartment is in a quieter, less touristy part of town but still a quick, easy walk from the historic area, great restaurants and grocery store. The apartment was very clean and the bed was probably the most comfortable we had in all of Italy. I highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Firenze! @abnb

A quieter, less touristy part of town

The apartment was in a great location, within walking distance to all the sights, and also on the bus line. The apartment was perfect, great decor, comfy bed and plenty of space, very comfortable for two people. Having a clothes washing machine was helpful, and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials for easy cooking. The only warning I have is the entry stairwell, it is long & very steep, if you have problems with stairs this is not the place for you.

This apartment is absolutely lovely with so much character and chic design! It was ideal for 2 people, very comfortable. Like so many older buildings, the stairs up to the apartment are steep so packing light is recommended. The neighborhood is active, especially at night but the windows are of high quality and do a good job with maintaining street noise to a reasonable level. The location is ideal within reasonable distance to major attractions, restaurants and we even walked back to the train station. Check-in took a little longer because of traffic, but Diana kept in contact which we greatly appreciated @airbnb

This unit is well renovated. It's the kind of unit I would want to live in if I were living in Florence. And everything is well provided for in the unit. It doesn't have a microwave but it's ok for me as I don't need one. The area is pretty central too. Only thing is that bedroom faces quite a busy street so you can often hear quite loudly vehicles driving pass and as summer has started, all kinds of bugs are appearing. But these are beyond owner's control. Resolve them by spraying mosquito repellant and keeping windows closed. I minimised the noise by keeping windows closed and turning the aircon on at night. Just to add if you have a huge luggage, note that there's a long flight of steep steps to lug your luggage up and down. I was already aware of it so no complaints but it would be nice if I had a companion to assist me... lol. In summary, I truly enjoyed my stay in this bright and lovely apt and will chose it again when I return. @abnb

    San Frediano

This vibrant district will be loved by those who like authenticity

Nothing changed much here, not even the quarter’s spirit, as in Vasco Pratolini’s famous novel The Girls of San Frediano. Walking the streets of this part of town you will easily meet some local characters, with a swift tongue speaking lots of local idioms.

    Break for a Taste
If San Frediano shares its border with another great quarter like Santo Spirito, whilst keeping the charm of bog spaces and magnificent churches like Carmine or Cestello, on the other hand the medieval walls surround park and very well cured restaurants, like the excellent Bistrot Santa Rosa.

You can find many groceries at affordable, non-tourist prices and trattorias where local people still hang around.
