Via Ghibellina (Santa Croce area)
Good to Know
This in only a little place so while the host will accept three guests, we think is comfiest with just two.
As the flat is so central, the street outside is often busy and you can hear the throngs of people or bar music

“We had a wonderful stay at Calla. It was comfortable and had everything we needed, and Diana was a friendly and responsive host. The location is great - walkable to the Duomo, train station, etc. and next to some amazing restaurants and gelaterias. I would certainly stay here again.
“A great central place to stay in Florence - everything is about 5/10 mins walk away and the apartment was equipped with everything you need for a short break. Diana was very friendly at check in, with lots of local tips to start off a visit in the city. We would recommend a trip to Angel rooftop bar for a drink and to watch the sunset, as well as taking in the views of the city at Piazza Michaelangelo. Only thing we would say is that the bar downstairs can be quite loud/busy in the evenings, although after a few drinks this didn't bother us too much. Thanks again Diana 😊
“Diana is an absolute treasure to work with! She made booking our stay in her property in Florence seamless! The location of the property is close to everything within a 5-15 minutes walking distance. Although there is a bar next to the property, it wasn’t too much of a nuisance as we were out enjoying the beauty and ambience of the city as well. We would definitely consider staying here again if ever visiting this beautiful city again!
“Perfectly nestled in the heart of Florence to walk to main sights and attractions. Easy to check in and lovely apartment that is kept clean. Wonderful stay except for that being in the city center was a little bit louder than we expected at night. Smart TV was nice to log into Netflix and such to watch shows after the long days. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Diana
“We loved the apartment! It was clean, comfortable, cozy and in the heart of Florence. We could not have a better location. The hosts were extraordinary! Very helpful and always quick to reply to questions. They offered good tips and were professionals through and through. Although the nightlife around the area was loud and lively, often until the early morning hours, we couldn’t complain as this is what to expect if you want to be in the middle of the city. If you want a quiet place then you may not enjoy the late night noise. However we were very satisfied!! Definitely a 5 star rating!
“We had a wonderful stay! The apt is exactly as pictured. The staff are super friendly about you dropping your bags until the apt is ready. Very communicative and sweet. They actually made a map of the city with their favorite local restaurants/places to get a cocktail. Very walkable, the Duomo is only a couple minute walk. Wonderful bakery and restaurants right on the street where you’re staying

Santa CroceThe charm of past centuries, the taste of the present days. Take a sit in the middle of Piazza Santa Croce and choose which side you like better

The main square, Piazza Santa Croce, is embellished by typical food stores and handcrafts shops, great restaurants, bars and pubs but especially by the great and splendid Santa Croce Basilica. It is an excellent example of a quintessential ‘Renaissance square’, where perfect and impressive architectural geometry has been designed around the life of the community and its citizens. The best Italian artists have worked and left their works in this church. Among them, Brunelleschi, Cimabue, Donatello and Giotto. Here you will also and the tombs of Galileo, Michelangelo and Machiavelli.
An Appointment with History
It is very common to meet a friend at the base of Dante’s monument. The statue lies next to the staircase leading to the church. Visiting the church and the many important artists and scientists buried there and take a look at the cloister, the Pazzi Chapel and the annexed museum is absolutely a must.
Sandwiches of Art!
In Via de' Neri are a few delis. You can easily spot them by the long lines around them. Schiacciata, the typical Italian bread, is stuffed with salami, cheese and season vegetables. A nice glass of wine and the party of good taste can start, right in the middle of the street.
