My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Diana’s apartment. She was very attentive and made sure to have one of her friends waiting to meet us when we arrived. The apartment is in a safe, clean and quite building. The apartment was on the 2nd floor, the elevator was reliable but you could easily walk down the stairs too. The apartment was well furnished, spacious and clean. As a tall 240 lb. male, I am hyper aware of shower sizes and hot water issues when traveling in Europe, especially when an apartment is so centrally located. The shower size was big enough for me and the hot water and pressure were great for the both us. The location is perfect for a stay in Florence, it does not get much more central than this. When you walk out the front door across the street is the Galleria dell ‘Accademia entrance, to the right you can see the Duomo down a few blocks (roughly a 10-minute walk), to the left (2-minute walk) is the Piazza San Marco where there is a taxi stand and bus stop. We had a great visit in Florence largely in part because of Diana’s Air B&B, we honestly could not see booking any other than hers for our future visits to Florence, thank you Diana!!!

The apartment is fantastic: Amazing good location, very clean and cozy. Diana was very helpful facilitating an early check-in. I absolutely loved the apartment and I would return anytime here.

I had a great stay here for about a week. The apartment is just as pictured and in a great location just across from the Accademia. The apartment itself is quite large with a small but more than sufficient kitchen and a large bathroom. There were a couple of hiccups upon arrival but Diana and her team quickly sorted those out, and I appreciated Diana's colleague personally checking me into the apartment. Other than that, the electricity briefly went out one day but it was restored within the hour, and I had no other difficulties. If you're looking for a central place in Florence, this is a great one to pick

Diana’s apartment across from Accademia was seriously a dream location. We found it was incredibly central to our sightseeing and exploring and even though we spent most of our time outside of the apartment we felt very at home here. The bed is amazing, the coffee maker was perfect, and the bathroom/kitchen were great. I cannot suggest this place enough!

“Diana and her team were very kind with us, they helped us with everything we needed. Moreover, the studio is located just in front of the Accademia, in the heart of Florence. The bed was very comfortable and all the apartment was very clean. I highly recommend this place.”

“L'appartamento è molto curato, perfetto per trascorrere un weekend di relax. La posizione è centralissima, di fronte alla Galleria dell'Accademia e a pochi passi da piazza del Duomo! Diana è stata davvero disponibile, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di fare il check-in prima del previsto e di lasciare i bagagli a casa fino al momento della partenza. Consigliatissimo!”

David’s Neighbors Are Very Important Historical Florentine Families

The San Marco quarter is named after the church and convent dedicated to the saint. the convent was famous for its pharmacy and for the Black Friars. Along Via Cavour it is still possible to see the products for sale carved in stone and hung on the walls.

The nearby Piazza Santissima Annunziata has many stories to tell, thanks to its museum, family histories and works of important artists like Brunelleschi hospital of the innocents. Under the arcades of such building we can still see the famous wheel where newborns could be anonymously abandoned hoping for a better life. Many events are held in the square, including concerts and markets throughout the year.

    David, a Florentine Icon
The real David, carved by Michelangelo Buonarroti, can be seen in the Galleria dell'Accademia located in Via Ricasoli. If you want a more intimate encounter with this masterpiece, pay a visit in the evening. Once a week the museum is open till late, allowing you o skip long and boring lines.

    Strategic position
Piazza San Marco is an area with great historical buildings, with a relaxed atmosphere along the streets, except for the chaotic traffic around the square. Piazza San Marco is a major hub for the main bus lines. There you can find bus stop for line 7, going all the way to Fiesole, a great small town with an astonishing and breathtaking view over the city.
